The answer is depending on what your skin really needs.

Serum is highly concentrated treatment used to address various skin concern. If you don’t have any specific skin concern, then you don’t need serum. Normally, serum can penetrate into the deeper layer of the skin because of its smaller molecule.

There are many varieties of serums in the market. Serum should be applied on cleansed skin and before moisturiser. Here is the ultimate serum guide;

Skin concern: Anti Aging, Hyperpigmentation, Fine Lines/Wrinkle, Dullness, Acne Prone/Oily, Dryness

We recommend our Radiance and Firming Serum because it is packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Resveratrol, Hyaluronic Acid, Licorice Root, Peptide and Australian Native Extracts. It is also formulated without essential oils.

  • Antioxidants

We all know that Vitamin C is the most popular antioxidants serum in the market along with Vitamin E to protect skin from free radicals damage. Vitamin C also inhibit melanin production, meaning it helps to fade out hyperpigmentation, even out skin tone and brightening effect.

Studies suggested that Resveratrol has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities because of its polyphenols. Resveratrol has promising results to prevent and improve sign of aging, reduce pigmentation and brighten skin complexion. It also useful in preventing breakout due to its anti-microbial activities.

  • Peptide

Peptide are small chain of amino acid. We love peptide because of the fact that peptide aim to promote collagen production for plumper and healthier skin. Large number of studies showed peptide has anti wrinkle benefit.

  • Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is humectant and has ability to hold water onto the surface of your skin. However, It has larger molecule therefore it will only provide hydration on surface level as it wont be able to penetrate deep into your skin. Few studies suggested that it has wound healing properties.

  • Licorice Root Extract

This is another star ingredient in our Radiance and Firming Serum. Licorice Root contains more than 20 triterpenoids and 300 flavonoids and has been well studied in past year for its Anti-inflammatory effect in fighting free radicals damage.

  • Kakadu Plum

Kakadu plum as a native Australian fruit has the highest source of concentrated vitamin C. It has antioxidant properties which attributes to its ability to brightens skin complexion, reduce hyperpigmentation and protect skin against free radical damage.

  • Quandong Fruit Extract

Another native Australian fruit that provide hydration, rejuvenate your skin and protects skin against free radical damage.

  • Bearberry Extract

It has antioxidant and skin brightening properties.

  • Lactic Acid

Lactic Acid is alpha hydroxy acid that brighten and hydrate your skin. It also speeds up cell renewal and firm your skin. Due to its large molecule, it is not irritating compare to glycolic acid and it can restore your skin moisture barrier.
